TEAM NEWS

United will be without Hannah Blundell for the entirety of the campaign as she takes time away from the pitch to have her first child. Evie Rabjohn is also set to be unavailable for selection, as she recovers from a ruptured anterior-cruciate ligament suffered in July.

However, there was good news on the injury front for Gabby George in our WSL opener, as she made her return following a long absence last term, also with an ACL injury. She replaced Galton from the bench in the 83rd minute, suggesting she will be ready for action moving forwards.

We also still await the return of Emma Watson, who was with the team in their pre-season preparations but was not part of last week’s matchday squad. Further updates, for the likes of Watson, could be delivered by Skinner in his press conference on Friday.

Our opponents will contest Sunday’s game without the services of midfielder Aurora Galli, who sustained an ACL injury in the Toffees’ opening game against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.
