The Los Angeles Clippers will face off against the Phoenix Suns in a playoff game at Phoenix Suns Arena at 3:30 p.m. ET Sunday. Averaging 115.23 points per contest, the Los Angeles squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Phoenix’s defense is prepared for a test.
As for the Los Angeles Clippers, Kawhi Leonard is reportedly out for the season, so Paul George will be in charge of the offense. This is not the way both teams wanted to approach this matchup, but injuries are also a part of the game.
Paul George drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 34 points and five assists on 10 of 26 shooting, Reggie Jackson added 24 points on 10 of 19 shooting.
DeMarcus Cousins chipped in with 11 points off the bench, but no other player finished in double figures in scoring.
The Clippers showed their resilience by erasing 2-0 deficits in the first and second rounds of this postseason. Fourth-seeded Los Angeles played without Leonard in the final two games of the second round against the Utah Jazz but won both.
Paul George scored 37 points in Game 5 and Terrence Mann, starting in place of Leonard, led the Clippers with a career-high 39 in the Game 6 clincher.
