EVANSTON, Ill. (September 28, 2024) – After playing its first two events away from home, the Northwestern Men’s Golf team will host the annual Windon Memorial Classic at Conway Farms Golf Club in Lake Forest, Ill. on Sunday, Sept 29 and Monday, Sept. 30.
Action begins from Conway Farms (par 71, 7,432 yards) on Sunday with 36 holes on the docket and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT. The final 18 will be played on Monday with tee times beginning at 7:55 a.m. CT.
Northwestern will be one of 16 teams participating in the event, along with Arizona, Augusta, East Tennessee State, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Pepperdine, Purdue, South Florida and UC Davis.

Last weekend, Daniel Svärd tied for third overall at the Fighting Illini Invitational in Olympia Fields, Ill. The junior recorded a seven-under-par 203 to claim his ninth career top five finish.
Making his 2024-25 debut, Cameron Adam carded a second-round one-over 71 as part of a 219 (75-71-73) that saw him share 55th. Niall Shiels-Donegan bookended his weekend with rounds of 72 en route to a 220 (72-76-72) to tie for 60th, while Aidan Kramer shot an opening-round even-par 70 on the way to placing 64th with a 221 (70-72-79). Akshay Anand posted a 229 (73-80-76) to finish as part of a tie for 73rd.
Northwestern finished 13th in the 15-team field.
Last Time at the Windon Classic
At the 2023 Windon Classic hosted at Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, Ill., the Wildcats finished sixth in the team race, as Ethan Tseng and Adam tallied top-10 finishes. Tseng started fast, firing a first-round four-under-par 67 ahead of a five-under-par 66 during second-round play en route to posting a 10-under-par 203 (67-66-70) to tie for fourth place. Adam checked in three strokes back of Tseng, opening play with a three-under-par 68 before back-to-back rounds of 69 that earned him a share of ninth place at 206 (68-69-69).

The ‘Cats will make a trip across the pond to compete at the St. Andrews Links Collegiate Presented by TopGolf and World Wide Technology, to be held at the historic Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland. The event will take place over three days from Monday, Oct. 14 through Wednesday, Oct. 16 and will be televised on GOLF Channel and Peacock.
