Against all odds, the Cincinnati Bengals are currently sitting on a 1-4 record.

Zac Taylor’s team has lost at least two games that they should’ve won, and not many people had them struggling this badly at this point in the season.

That’s why, even though he’s got a great reputation and his numbers are solid, James Jones believes Joe Burrow shouldn’t get a pass right now.

Talking on FOX’s The Facility, the NFL star-turned-analyst claimed that if people aren’t giving Aaron Rodgers a pass after a 2-3 start, why should they give Burrow one?

He claimed that stats didn’t even matter at this point, as Burrow’s biggest stat was winning football games.

Jones thinks that he’s making losing plays.

Whether it’s the coach not putting the ball in his hands or his teammates not being able to make plays, the fact of the matter is that the Bengals aren’t winning, and Jones believes that has plenty to do with Burrow.

The former No. 1 pick has posted impressive numbers.

He’s leading the league in touchdown passes (12) while throwing just two interceptions.

He has the second-highest completion percentage (72.3) and is sixth in passing yards (1,370).

Even so, none of that matters if his team can’t win games.

Granted, this is a team sport, and the Bengals’ defense has left plenty to be desired this season.

But at the end of the day, even if wins aren’t a QB stat, Burrow is a superstar, so he has to be held to that kind of standard.
