It was a mixed bag for the Patriots at Thursday’s practice.
After missing the last 10 days with an ankle injury, Kyle Dugger returned to the backfields at Gillette Stadium in a limited capacity. If Dugger can suit up against the Texans on Sunday, that’d be a major boost for a safety group that will be without Jabrill Peppers for the foreseeable future, given his placement on the Commissioners Exempt List.

While Dugger’s return was a welcome sight, Rhamondre Stevenson missed his second straight practice with a foot injury. The running back was injured in the fourth quarter of last weekend’s loss to the Dolphins, and with Drake Maye making his debut as a starter on Sunday, he’d be a major loss for the rookie’s offense.
Elsewhere, cornerback Isaiah Bolden was a new addition to the injury report with a hamstring issue. He was limited. On the Houston side, standout tackle Laremy Tunsil was a full participant after sitting out Wednesday’s practice with an ankle injury:
