King Charles received shocking news ahead of his much-awaited tour to Australia.
For the unversed, the king and Queen Camilla will be travelling to Australia and Samoa in the coming days.
On September 10, Buckingham Palace released a statement, informing the royal fans about His Majesty’s travel plans.
The message reads, “The King and Queen will visit Australia and Samoa, and attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from 18th – 26th October 2024.”
It is pertinent to note that it will be King Charles’s first big foreign tour since he announced his cancer in February 2024.
Now, a former royal aide told The Daily Beast that the Australia trip will be a “make-or-break” situation for the monarch amid his serious health woes.
The source reminded the King that the Australian media “operate without the same restrictions as the British media” about his well-being.
While raising concerns about King’s risky decision to embark on a long travel journey, the report said, “It’s all about proving he isn’t dying, to be blunt. The problem is that if anything goes wrong, people will leap to the opposite conclusion. It’s make-or-break for Charles, I think.”
However, a different source informed the Daily Mail that King Charles’s health will “remain the number one priority” during the upcoming visit, and his treatment is “heading in a very positive trajectory.”
