While promoting her film Singham Again, Kareena also travelled all the way to Delhi for the Ravan Dahan event along with co-star Ajay Devgn and stole everyone’s heart with her stunning purple lehenga.
On Saturday night, she posted a set of beautiful photos captioned: “हैप्पी दशहरा ???? Singham Again, this Diwali ???? 1st November.” Looking elegant in the gorgeous Anamika Khanna creation, Kareena embodied the spirit of the festivities in the striking pictures.
The lehenga she wore came in an electric purple hue and her post took a very short time to go viral with some female fans going gaga over the lehenga colour, one even exclaimed “Is this the lehenga colour of the year?”. Bebo sported a very elegant scoop neckline blouse with intricate hand embroidery in bright shades of gold, green, and red. Heavily embellished on both sides to match the lehenga, the skirt added an altogether royal touch, perfectly suited for the festive occasion. Kareena completed her look with a coordinating dupatta embossed with gold borders. She draped it elegantly over her shoulder to lift the overall ensemble.
The look was styled by celebrity stylist Rhea Kapoor who helped Kareena add traditional silver jewellery to complete the look. She went for layered neck pieces, broad bangles, and statement earrings to add to the charm and elegance of the lehenga. Makeup artist Mickey Contractor heightened her natural look-soft yet glamorous with nude eyeshadow, winged eyeliner and luscious mascara coat lashes, and cheeks were enhanced with just a hint of blush and a luminous highlighter.
