Doug Pederson’s Jacksonville Jaguars are in turmoil after a disheartening 35-16 loss to the Chicago Bears in London.

This defeat plummeted the Jaguars to a 1-5 record, tying them with the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, and Carolina Panthers for the league’s worst start.

The locker room atmosphere is palpable with disappointment, signaling an urgent need for a cultural shift.

Former Ravens defensive lineman Chris Canty didn’t mince words, suggesting a drastic prediction:

“Doug Pederson won’t be the head coach of the Jaguars when they get back to Duval. An absolute embarrassment.”

While radical, such a move could potentially inject new life into the struggling franchise.

The Jaguars’ recent performance paints a grim picture. Once poised to defend their AFC South title, they’ve stumbled, losing 10 of their last 12 games.

Their struggles are evident on both sides of the ball, with the team ranking near the bottom in crucial statistical categories, particularly in pass defense.

Despite significant investments in players like Arik Armstead and Evan Engram, the team has failed to see substantial returns.

Perhaps most concerning is the performance of Trevor Lawrence, the first overall pick from three years ago.

Expected to emulate Peyton Manning’s impact, Lawrence seems to be coasting on potential rather than delivering concrete results.

As the season progresses, the Jaguars face mounting pressure to turn their fortunes around.

Whether through coaching changes, strategic adjustments, or player development, something must give if they hope to salvage their season and restore faith in their promising young core.
