Steph Curry has signed a one-year contract extension with the Golden State Warriors, ensuring he will remain in San Francisco at least until 2027. Curry, a key player in the Warriors’ four NBA Championship victories in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022, has reportedly agreed to a $62.6 million extension, as reported by ESPN. This deal follows his last contract signed in August 2021.
By the end of this contract, Curry will have earned $532 million in on-court earnings, placing him second only to LeBron James, who sits at $580 million.
In July, Curry expressed his desire to stay with the Warriors for the remainder of his career, stating, “I’ve always said I want to be a Warrior for life. At this stage in my career, I feel like that’s possible.” He added that he wouldn’t want to stay with the team just for the sake of it if they were struggling, but doesn’t believe that will be the case.
Curry, known for his revolutionary impact on the NBA with his three-point shooting, won his first Olympic gold medal this summer as part of Team USA at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Since joining the Warriors in 2009, he has won two MVP awards and currently holds the record for most three-pointers made in NBA history.
