Google India posted a total income of Rs 7,097.5 crore during the reported fiscal year, including Rs 5,921.1 crore from continuing operations, and Rs 1,176.4 crore from discontinued operations.

Global water technology company A.O. Smith Corporation on Friday announced the completion of the acquisition of FMCG major HUL’s water purification business Pureit. HUL, in a regulatory filing, said it has “completed the sale and divestment of its water purification business carried under the brand ‘Pureit’.” Pureit offers a broad range of residential water purification solutions across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Mexico, among others.
HUL in July this year announced the sale of its water purification business to AO Smith India Water Products for USD 72 million (about Rs 600 crore), as part of a global transaction by its parent Unilever.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) on Friday reported a 2 per cent increase in total sales at 70,078 units in October as compared to 68,728 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales were up marginally at 55,568 units last month as compared to 55,128 units in October 2023, the newly listed firm said in a regulatory filing. Exports were up 6.7 per cent at 14,510 units as compared to 13,600 units in the year-ago month, it added.

Farm and construction equipment firm Escorts Kubota Ltd on Friday reported a 19.8 per cent rise in tractor sales at 18,110 units in October against 15,113 units sold a year ago.
Domestic tractor sales in October 2024 were at 17,839 units, registering a growth of 22.6 per cent compared to 14,550 units sold in the year-ago month, Escorts Kubota Ltd said in a regulatory filing. Tractor exports last month were down at 271 units from 563 tractors sold in October 2023, it added.

Tata Motors Ltd on Friday reported a marginal decline in its domestic and international sales at 82,682 units in October as compared to 82,954 units in the same month last year.
Total domestic sales were marginally up at 80,839 units last month against 80,825 units in the year-ago period, Tata Motors said in a regulatory filing.
Overall passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including electric vehicles were down marginally at 48,423 units over 48,637 units a year ago. Similarly, domestic PV sales were down at 48,131 units compared to 48,337 units in the year-ago month, the company said.

The registration numbers are as per Vahan data, it added.
The company said it has started a campaign to double its company-owned service network to 1,000 centres by December 2024. Also, as part of the network partner programme, it will onboard 10,000 partners across sales and service by the end of 2025.

Mahindra & Mahindra on Friday reported its best- ever monthly sales in October with 96,648 units, marking a 20 per cent year-on- year increase. The Mumbai-based auto major had dispatched 80,679 units to dealers in October last year.
In the utility vehicles segment, it sold 54,504 units in the domestic market, a growth of 25 per cent over 43,708 units in the year-ago period, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) said in a statement.
Overall passenger vehicle wholesales, including exports, stood at 55,571 units. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles stood at 28,812 units last month, the auto major said.

Oil prices rose more than 2% on Friday after reports that Iran was preparing a retaliatory strike on Israel from Iraq in the coming days, though benchmarks were still set for a weekly decline. Brent crude futures were up $1.72, or 2.4%, at $74.53 a barrel by 1024 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.76, or 2.5%, to $71.02.
