Wellsboro swept South Williamsport 3-0 in non-league volleyball action on Monday, October 21 on Senior Night.
The Lady Hornets edged South 26-24 in the first set, won the 2nd 25-17, and closed out the contest with a 25-22 third set victory.
“Senior Night was everything we could have asked for,” head coach Darci Pollock said. “These four girls have given so much to our team and program in their four years. We are so thankful for them and the memories they have created. They will be missed greatly!”
Senior Paige Logsdon led the Lady Hornets with 10 kills and a block, senior Lexi Urena had 10 kills, 13 digs and 8 points (2 aces), and senior Arianah Lawton had 9 digs. Sophomore Ellie Largey had 15 assists, junior Taylor Main had 11 assists and 9 points, sophomore Blake Eckart made 4 kills, and sophomore Madison Cruttenden scored 6 points and made 13 digs.
Wellsboro won the JV game 2-0 (25-5, 25-2).
The Lady Hornets (15-4, 11-2 NTL Large School Division) travel to Towanda tonight for their final regular season game.
