Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has clarified that he is unlikely to sign any players from Sporting Lisbon during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils recently confirmed the Portuguese as their new head coach and he will formally join the club from Sporting during the next international break.
Amorim was posed with several questions in the recent presser in Portugal and one of those was on whether he would like to bring Gyokeres to United this winter.
In response, the 39-year-old said that Gyokeres has a huge £83 million release clause in his contract and United are unlikely to afford such an amount in January.
Amorim, however, refused to rule out the prospect of signing the Swede which is a big hint. He could push for a reunion with the marksman during the summer.
Gyokeres has been in sensational form for the Portuguese champions this campaign and he has already netted 20 goals from 16 appearances in all competitions.
