Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim has his sights on reuniting with Goncalo Inacio following his managerial move to Manchester United.
Amorim has agreed to take charge United from November 11 onwards and he is likely to be backed with funds to bolster the squad next summer.
The Portuguese is likely to target multiple players from Sporting and Sky Sports claim that Inacio has been identified as the top priority.
The left-footed centre-back has been linked with United on numerous occasions and he could finally make the switch to Old Trafford.
He has a release clause worth €60m in his Sporting contract, but reports claim that the Lisbon outfit could be willing to negotiate a lesser fee.
Amorim also has an interest in Inacio’s teammate Ousmane Diomande, who has developed into one of the best young centre-backs in Europe.
Diomande has a buy-out clause worth €80m, but could also be signed for a lesser transfer package come the end of the current campaign.
