The Arizona Cardinals face a big test in Week 5 when they visit the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers are one team the Cardinals have historically had trouble defeating, and even though their NFC West rivals will be shorthanded, they’re sure to give Kyler Murray and crew a stiff challenge.

Fortunately for the Cardinals, they likely will get a key offensive player back, as tight end Trey McBride was a full participant in practice.

“Trey McBride logs his first full practice since his concussion and should be good to go Sunday,” Theo Mackie of azcentral sports wrote on X.

McBride suffered a concussion in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, and as a result missed the Week 4 blowout loss to the Washington Commanders.

In three games this season, he has caught 14 passes for 122 yards, and the third-year player was impressive last season with 81 catches for 825 yards and three touchdowns.

The main target in Arizona’s offense so far this season has been rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

He has hauled in 15 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns in four games to start his pro career.

After the Cardinals mauled the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, there was a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, they could give the 49ers a bit of a run for NFC West supremacy.

But now, it is fairly clear that if they don’t defeat San Francisco now, their chances of making the playoffs will be slim, especially with a game at the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
