EVANSTON, Ill. (October 31, 2024) – After securing his first collegiate victory, Northwestern senior Cameron Adam (Edinburgh, Scotland/Merchiston Castle School) has been named the Big Ten Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Thursday. This marks the second weekly league honor of Adam’s career.
Adam was outstanding in helping lead the ‘Cats to the team championship at The Clerico in Tulsa, Okla. earlier in the week. The Edinburgh, Scotland product finished his stay at the Oaks Country Club with a three-under-par 207 (67-70-70) to outdistance Duke’s Luke Sample (71-69-70=210) by three strokes for individual medalist honors as Northwestern finished eight strokes clear atop the team leaderboard.
In the midst of a run of three straight top-five finishes, Adam, a 2023-24 All-Big Ten Conference honoree, currently sports a 70.00 stroke average across 12 rounds of play this season. He has fired eight rounds at par or better, with five of those rounds coming in the 60s.
Northwestern begins the spring portion of its 2024-25 schedule on February 1 when it battles Michigan State in The Match at Mountain Lake in Lake Wales, Fla.
