The Chicago Bears’ offense has taken a big step back over the past few weeks.
Caleb Williams has struggled to look like that promising signal-caller he seemed to be a couple of weeks prior, but it’s not like his team is doing him any favors.
If anything, the Bears’ pass-game concepts have been way off lately.
At least, that’s how Dan Orlovsky feels.
Talking on ESPN, the former quarterback broke down some film from their loss to the Arizona Cardinals, pointing out the three main reasons why the Bears are struggling to get anything going in the passing game right now.
Can’t play QB in this….
Gotta fix this @ChicagoBears https://t.co/BpAKOv4Ori

For starters, he thinks their concepts make no sense.
He shows a couple of clips in which all wideouts are crammed up around the same space, making it almost impossible for Williams to know who’s open and who’s not.
Then, he thinks Williams’ timing with his wide receivers is off, as he’s getting ready to throw when they haven’t even turned around or gotten into a pass-catching position.
Last but not least, he believes Williams is chasing the big throw too often, leading him to ignore easy completions on wide-open targets in intermediate or short routes.
He thinks that the final aspect can be coached out of his game, but until that happens, it’ll continue to be an issue.
The Bears’ coaching staff has drawn some questions this season, and judging by the way things are going, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the team part ways with Matt Eberflus at the end of the campaign.
