The Minnesota Twins were only one of two teams in the American League Central that did not make the postseason in 2024.

After the disappointing season, one Twins player who is a long-time Major League Baseball Veteran received his first ever Gold Glove Award.

Carlos Santana of the Twins has been in the league since 2010 and played for seven different organizations.

Santana is 38 years old, and his agent Ulises Cabrera revealed how many more seasons Santana plans to play.

According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, Cabrera said Santana is looking to play for another three or four seasons.

With Santana winning his first career Gold Glove award at first base and posting his highest on-base plus slugging percentage since 2019, it appears to suggest that he still has some gas left in the tank.

In 2024 with the Twins, Santana played 150 games and batted .238 with 23 home runs, 71 runs batted in, and a .749 on-base plus slugging percentage.

Santana will now hit the free agent market this offseason, and after revealing that he intends to play for a few more years, some teams may have an interest.

The Cleveland Guardians were the first team Santana played for, and he played 10 seasons for the team including his only all-star game selection in 2019.

Santana is not one of the biggest names to hit free agency this offseason, but he appears to be a player who can still make a difference for a team in need of a first baseman.

It will be interesting to see what kind of contract Santana could sign after saying he wants to play three or four more seasons.
