The Washington Commanders made a blockbuster move to acquire New Orleans Saints Pro Bowl cornerback Marshon Lattimore prior to the NFL trade deadline.
However, Lattimore will not be on the field for the Commanders in Week 10 when they host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“Commanders HC Dan Quinn announced CB Marshon Lattimore will not make his Washington debut Sunday due to his hamstring injury. Lattimore still needs more time to recover,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

This could be a very smart move from the team’s point of view.
Why risk putting one of your best players out there when he is not entirely healthy?
Washington likely will be in contention for the playoffs down the stretch, and it needs Lattimore to be at his best.
The matchup against the Steelers is likely to be a tough, physical game.
Lattimore is not exactly ready for that at this point in time.
The good news for Washington is that it has a very explosive offense, so it can make up for not having a completely healthy defense.
The way that quarterback Jayden Daniels is playing right now, not much has stood in the way of this Commanders attack.
Daniels has been playing like the NFL MVP thus far in his rookie season.
It will be a great test for Washington against an elite Pittsburgh defense.
This could end up being an under-the-radar Super Bowl preview if both teams continue down the path they are on.
