Monica Curry posted four goals and one assist to lead sixth-seeded Vernonr to a 5-1 win over 11th-seeded Lakeland in the opening round of the North 1, Group 2 tournament, in Vernon.
Vernon (14-4-1) will play third-seeded Sparta in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
