Expert Says Prince Harry 'Fears Being Deported' By Donald Trump

Prince Harry‘s European home purchase has been linked to him allegedly having concerns about potential immigration issues.

The Invictus Games founder currently resides in Montecito, California, U.S., with his family, having moved there after stepping down from his senior royal role in 2020.

However, following an inquiry into his immigration status by a think tank, Harry found himself at the center of a lawsuit aimed at making his immigration details public.

While the details remain private for now, there is speculation that the status quo could change under the new U.S. administration.

If Prince Harry is found to have violated any immigration rules, he could face deportation.

Last month, reports emerged that Harry and his wife, Meghan, had purchased a new home in Europe while currently living in a large mansion in Montecito, California.

Initially, the purchase was linked to rumors that the former Suits actress wanted to apply for a Golden Visa, which would allow her unrestricted travel through the 26 Schengen countries in Europe.

While these claims remain unverified, royal expert Richard Eden has suggested that the purchase may also be linked to Prince Harry’s alleged “fear of being deported” by Donald Trump.

According to the Daily Mail, Eden hinted that if Trump were re-elected, Harry could face intensified scrutiny over his immigration status. This might explain why the former senior royal appears to be “seeking an escape route” through the European property.

Eden further claimed that a source revealed Harry and Meghan are making increasingly desperate attempts to reconcile with the royal family.

The source also suggested that Harry is expected to visit the U.K. more frequently in the coming years.

“We can expect to see more of Harry back in Britain in years to come,” the insider said.

Despite a judge ruling that the details of Harry’s immigration would remain confidential for the time being, the possibility of their release remains as the think tank pursuing the case is planning to appeal the decision.

“I do think there’s a strong possibility that this could happen. It’s the president’s prerogative,” said Nile Gardiner, the director of the think tank called the Heritage Foundation, per the Daily Mail. “Also, the new Homeland Security Secretary could order a review of Harry’s immigration application.”

The organization had sought to get the files released after Harry openly admitted to past recreational drug use in his memoir, a detail he would have been required to disclose in his immigration paperwork. Such information could potentially have made him ineligible for entry into the United States.

Prior to the lawsuit, The Heritage Foundation had submitted a Freedom of Information request for Prince Harry’s immigration records, which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) denied.

The decision of the appeal could swing either way. However, Gardiner believes it would be in the “best interests of the American people” if the incoming government released Prince Harry’s records for “public scrutiny.”

“Releasing Harry’s immigration records would send a very strong message about applying the rule of law equally to everyone,” said the director, who also accused the Biden administration of bending “over backward to protect Prince Harry.”

He added, “There’s a clear public interest in their release. If Harry has nothing to hide, he should support the release of the records.”

The foundation’s director also predicted that the files could be released as early as next year, adding that there would be “growing calls” for their disclosure from the Republican-controlled Congress.

Any doubts that Harry might receive preferential treatment for his immigration status were dispelled earlier in the year when Trump spoke about the Invictus Games founder’s immigration issue.

“I wouldn’t protect him. He betrayed the queen. That’s unforgivable,” the former president said during his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Oxon Hill, MD, per the New York Post.

“He would be on his own if it was down to me,” Trump continued before adding that President Biden’s administration has been too “gracious” to Harry after “what he has done.”

According to the Daily Beast, the billionaire mogul had once stated that he would take “appropriate action” against Harry if he lied on his visa papers when he moved to the U.S.

Trump’s son, Eric, also seems to have an issue with Harry and Meghan as he hinted that the prince might be deported by his father during an interview with British media outlet G.B. News.

The American businessman claimed that the Sussexes have desecrated Buckingham Palace by deviating from the traditionally expected path.

“What I can tell you is, my father had so much respect for the queen, as did I. My mum knew so many of them for years and had a great relationship with Diana,” Eric said, per Daily Beast. “It’s a sacred institution. You can happily have those two [Meghan and Harry], we might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own.”

He then branded the royal duo “bad actors” and “spoiled apples.”
