HYBE hints BTS won’t reunite in 2025

Two BTS members have completed their military services: Jin and J Hope

BTS fans may have to wait longer than expected for the group’s reunion.

HYBE, the parent company of the globally acclaimed boy band, hinted that a complete comeback may not happen until 2026.

On Tuesday, November 5, AllKPop reported that during HYBE’s Q3 earnings call, CFO Lee Kyung Joon addressed the future activities of the seven-member boy band — Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope, RM, Suga, and V.

“We are currently in discussions with the members about activities in 2026,” he stated, suggesting that the BTS reunion, to be expected in 2025, has been pushed back to 2026.

In addition, Lee reflected on the individual solo projects that BTS members began preparing prior to their service to keep the fans engaged during their enlistment.

“While a full group comeback would generate considerable revenue, we expect it will not account for as high a share of our earnings as in the past, as our other artists and new ventures are also contributing to growth.,” the CFO said.

Since the release of their anthology album in June 2022, BTS has focused on solo projects. The eldest member, Jin, began his mandatory military service in December 2022, marking the start of the group’s military hiatus.

At that time, BigHit Music expressed hopes for a full group reunion by 2025 but cautioned that it was too early to set a definitive date.

As of now, Jin and J-Hope, both 31, have completed their military service, and fans are eagerly awaiting the return of the remaining five members.
