JJ Redick Reveals His Thoughts About Lakers' Loss To Warriors On Tuesday

The Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t keep up with the Golden State Warriors in their fourth preseason game.

They were solid in the first half, but their offense hit a wall in the final two quarters.

Overall, JJ Redick’s team shot a worrisome 35.8% from the floor and 27.5% from beyond the arc.

Nevertheless, when asked about the team’s offensive execution, the first-year coach claimed to be “highly encouraged” by it.

Talking to the media, Redick claimed that he liked the shots the team got, although he admitted that the offense got a little stagnant in the third quarter when they didn’t trust it (via Spectrum SportsNet).

Even so, Redick claimed that he loved the team’s execution, ball movement, and shot selection for the most part.

The Lakers have played a seemingly normal rotation in the first half of all preseason games, and they even hit the ground running with 28 first-quarter points.

Then again, long-range scoring continues to be a worrisome issue for this team.

Redick has talked about wanting the team to take more three-pointers, and that has clearly been a point of emphasis during the preseason.

However, they have yet to knock them down on a consistent basis.

This team may not have the personnel to play the way Redick wants them to.

Rob Pelinka didn’t make a lot of moves in the offseason, and outside shooting was a major concern for them last season, so they might want to make some moves early in the season to address those needs before it’s too late.
