Liverpool suffered a major injury scare in their 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday as goalkeeper Alisson had to be substituted at Selhurst Park.
Diogo Jota had put the Reds ahead early in the first half and it was a lead Arne Slot’s side held on to for the rest of the game, though the victory looks to have come at a cost on the fitness front.
Alisson appeared to sustain a blow to his hamstring and had to come off in the 79th minute as 23-year-old deputy Vitezslav Jaros came on in his place.
The Brazilian shot-stopper looked distraught at full-time, having struggled for fitness at points in the last few seasons. The 32-year-old has already missed two matches this term with a thigh problem and was absent for 19 fixtures in 2023/24 for both Liverpool and Brazil due to hamstring and muscle issues.
