Meanwhile, there was disappointment for Denmark duo Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund as they were beaten 1-0 by Spain.
Eriksen started the match in front of a sell-out crowd in Murcia, before giving way to Lazio’s Gustav Isaksen on 73 minutes.
Hojlund entered the action in the 78th minute in place of Rennes midfielder Albert Grønbæk but, moments later, Martin Zubimendi scored the winner for the European champions.
