Junior Supriyha Moore captured her second all-around title to lead the St. Thomas Aquinas gymnastics team to its third consecutive crown at the Greater Middlesex Conference Championships at South Brunswick.
St. Thomas Aquinas claimed its fourth title in the past five years, finishing with a team score of 111.8, while South Plainfield finished second with 104.55, followed by East Brunswick in third with 98.475.
Moore, a two-time All-State selection who won the GMC all-around title as a freshman before finishing fourth in 2023, won her second title, with a score of 37.875.
Moore also won floor exercise (9.75) and vault (9.675) and placed second on beam (9.55) and bars (8.90).
Emili Horike of St. Thomas Aquinas was the all-around runner-up with 37.8 points. Horike won the beam competition with a 9.75 and also took first on bars (9.175). She scored 9.5 on floor exercise to take second, and was fourth on vault (9.375).
Olivia Donato of St. Thomas Aquinas placed third in the all-around with 36.75 points. Donato’s best event was vault, where she scored 9.45 to finish third. She also placed fourth on beam (9.3) and bars (8.8) and was fifth on floor exercise (9.2).
On vault, Shelby Reno of St. Thomas Aquinas took second place with a 9.5, while teammate Sofia Bertocci finished fifth with a 9.35 and Amaiya-Rose Ransom of South Plainfield scored 9.075 for sixth.
Reno also had a strong showing on bars, placing third with an 8.825. Bertocci took fifth on bars with an 8.7 and Gianna Kuzma of South Plainfield finished sixth (8.5).
On beam, Reno secured third place with a 9.45, and Vanessa Barreros of St. Thomas Aquinas took fifth (9.05). Kuzma from South Plainfield placed sixth with an 8.95.
In the floor exercise competition, Bertocci of St. Thomas Aquinas finished third with a 9.4, while Ransom from South Plainfield took fourth (9.3). Samantha Riccardo, also from South Plainfield, scored 9.15 for sixth place.
