Northwestern Softball 2024 Fall Ball Schedule – Northwestern Athletics

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern softball revealed its 2024 fall schedule, which features six games at Sharon J. Drysdale Field between September and October.

The Wildcats will host Bryant Stratton and Loyola (Chicago) in a doubleheader during the last Saturday of September before welcoming crosstown foes DePaul and UIC the first weekend of October. One week later, the Wildcats close out their Fall slate with a doubleheader against College of Lake County and Spoon River Community College on Saturday, October 12.

Admission is free for all attending fans this fall, as is parking in the Ryan Field West lot. Northwestern’s complete fall ball schedule can be seen below:

Sat, Sept. 28 – Bryant Stratton (10am)

Sat, Sept. 28 – Loyola (Chicago) (12pm)

Fri, Oct. 4 – DePaul (4 pm)

Sun, Oct. 6 – UIC (11 am)

Sat, Oct. 12 – College of Lake County (10 am)

Sat, Oct. 12 – Spoon River (12 pm)

Most recently in 2023, Northwestern clinched its third-consecutive regular season title, just the second time in school history “three-peating.” After turning over seven starters from the 2023 season and welcoming a nine-member newcomer class, the Wildcats won every Big Ten series (8-0) for the second season in a row while locking up an NCAA postseason bid for the sixth consecutive season, the longest active streak in the Big Ten.

Northwestern took home a haul of Big Ten awards that included Kate Drohan being named the Big Ten Coach of the Year for third season in a row and sixth time in her career, while Kelsey Nader and Kansas Robinson were each named All-Americans to cap off stellar sophomore campaigns. Catcher Emma Raye was named to both the Big Ten’s All-Defensive Team and All-Freshman Team.

The Wildcats welcomes a consensus Top-25 Signing Class that is comprised of four newcomers: Kaylie Avvisato (Leesburg, Va.), Emma Blea (Fresno, Calif.), Kate Dowden (Indianapolis, Ind.), and Avery Garden (Allen Park, Mich.).
