The show always goes on in the NBA.

Even when star players retire or get hurt, the league always finds the next big thing to build on.

That’s even more evident with role players.

However, as much as Patrick Beverley has never been a star, he’s still a valuable veteran, and multiple NBA teams could use his services.

He doesn’t seem too happy in Israel right now, and he recently revealed that Real Madrid and NBA teams expressed interest in signing him (via NBA Central).

In the latest edition of his podcast, he stated that he began questioning his future with Hapoel Tel Aviv B.C. after his teammate, Johnathan Motley, suddenly left the team because he felt unsafe in Israel.

Beverley added that one of the reasons he joined the team was to play with Motley, a former teammate of his with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Not so long ago, he bragged about all the money they were willing to give him, not to mention that they would promote his podcast as well.

It’s known that his deal was worth roughly $2 million, with a $1 million bonus.

Needless to say, that’s pretty much spare change by NBA standards, so chances are that whoever signs him is more than willing to meet that kind of asking price.

Beverley is a disruptive backcourt defender and strong locker-room presence, so he should still have a niche in the league, even if he doesn’t play heavy minutes.
