The Patriots added two players from their practice squad and one from the physically unable-to-perform list on the eve of their Week 6 game against the Texans at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots reinstated linebacker Sione Takitaki from the PUP list and elevated long snapper Tucker Addington and running back Terrell Jennings from the practice squad.

The Patriots will have to deal with running back Joe Mixon. Multiple outlets reported that the Texans’ No. 1 running back, who has been out of the lineup is expected to return. Texans defensive tackle Kurt Hinish did not make the trip.

Elsewhere, Patriots defensive end Keion White had an expensive morning. According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, White was fined twice. Reiss tweeted:

“Patriots DE/OLB Keion White was fined $9,836 for his horse-collar tackle last week, and then another $9,836 for a roughing-the-passer penalty.”

Takitaki signed a 2-year, $6.5 million deal worth up to $10.3 million deal in the offseason. He spent the last five seasons in Cleveland.

Addington, who spent part of training camp with the Patriots and played three games with New England in 2022. He was signed to the practice squad on Friday, just a day before being elevated.

Jennings was a notable choice as he was elevated over Kevin Harris. He’ll become the No. 3 running back with Rhamondre Stevenson out.
