Pop star Olivia Rodrigo reveals her biggest dating red flag: 'It’s just weird'

Pop star Olivia Rodrigo has a unique way of deciding whether she’ll date a man after the first date.

The “good 4 u” singer revealed her biggest dating red flag during a Netflix interview posted on Instagram Friday, Nov. 1.

“This is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates: I always ask them if they think that they would want to go to space,” the 21-year-old said. “And if they say yes, I don’t date them.”

The “vampire” singer continued to explain her reasoning while laughing.

“I just think if you want to go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself,” Rodrigo said. “I think it’s just weird.”

Apparently, Rodrigo wasn’t the only singer to feel strongly about men going to space. Musician Grimes, whose used to date Space X founder Elon Musk, agreed with Rodrigo’s sentiments on social media.

“It’s true,” Grimes commented on an X post from Pop Crave referencing Rodrigo’s interview. “Only women should be going to space.”

Rodrigo has been dating actor Louis Partridge since late 2023, according to an article from People.

In the past, the “drivers license” singer has been romantically linked to DJ Zack Bia and singer/actor Joshua Bassett, with whom Rodrigo starred in the Disney Channel series “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.”
