SPRINGFIELD – The city started to renovate and refresh the popular Blunt Park in 2021 and last year extended work to forested areas. Now, officials are moving to complete the project.
A $500,000 state Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities grant, combined with $300,000 in city money, will allow Springfield to finish improvements and tie together two halves of the park.
