The Toronto Raptors are retiring Vince Carter’s No. 15 jersey, making him the first player in franchise history to receive the prestigious honor.
His number will be raised to the rafters at Scotiabank Arena during halftime of the game against the Sacramento Kings.
Setting the stage for the occasion, the Raptors also unveiled a spectacular tribute to Carter in downtown Toronto.
A massive mural captures the essence of Carter’s electrifying style, depicting him suspended in midair in his iconic pose from the 2000 NBA dunk contest, adorned in the classic purple jersey.
When the mural was revealed, Carter, surrounded by his family, beamed with joy as fans erupted in applause, creating a heartwarming moment that perfectly encapsulated his impact on the city.
