Sarah Ferguson issued major health update after she underwent treatment for breast and skin cancer.
In conversation with The Sun, the Duchess of York first highlighted the importance of regular medical checkups, urging people to always get their symptoms checked out promptly.
Prince Andrew’s ex-wife revealed that her cancer diagnosis felt like a “death sentence.” She added, “Your mind goes to the darkest places and you wonder what lies ahead and how you are going to share the news with your family.”
Sarah revealed that her sister Jane “went into bossy older sibling mode” and insisted on a check-up and regular treatments, which “saved her life.”
“I’m living proof of the importance of never skipping screening appointments and always getting symptoms checked out promptly,” she told the above-mentioned news outlet.
While revealing about her current health, Sarah shared that her medical team still has not called her “cancer-free,” however, the “treatment appears victorious.”
The mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie said that she is now on a mission to use her cancer journey to raise awareness among the general public.
It is worth mentioning that Sarah’s important message came after The Daily Mail reported that King Charles might “pause” his cancer treatment on his doctors’ advice during the much-awaited Australia and Samoa tour in October 2024.
