This feat was accomplished during Sunday’s third quarter against the Rams when he snagged yet another pick.
The timing of McKinney’s interception couldn’t have been more crucial. With the Rams clinging to a narrow field goal lead at halftime, they were looking to extend their advantage.
On a critical third-and-10 near midfield, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford felt the heat from Karl Brooks and overthrew his intended target, Tutu Atwell.
McKinney, showcasing his exceptional instincts, easily plucked the ball from the air and returned it 28 yards. The play set up a Packers touchdown drive, extending their lead to 24-13.
McKinney’s interception streak is nothing short of phenomenal. He entered Sunday’s game as the NFL’s interception leader, a title he still holds after Week 5.
