Yankees broadcaster Suzyn Waldman joins in on criticism of TBS

TBS drew a lot of criticism on Wednesday for the way they their ALCS Game 3 broadcast as the Yankees visited the Royals.

Part of that stemmed from a lengthy interview of Royals legend George Brett — and Yankees radio broadcaster Suzyn Waldman shared a funny take about it.

“A friend of mine today said to me about George Brett, ‘George Brett is getting more TV time than Taylor Swift did when she started going to Chiefs games. Every time I look up, George Brett is on television,’” she said.

The interview lasted a half-inning and cut into Michael Massey’s third inning at-bat. Bob Costas, on the call, continued to talk about Brett when the Yankees got up the next inning.

“TBS once again trying to air the stupid Royals-Yankees game in the middle of their George Brett documentary,” Sports Illustrated’s Jimmy Traina wrote on X.
