Manchester United is reportedly considering a £35 million move for Sporting CP’s 17-year-old winger Geovany Quenda this summer. According to The Daily Star, Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim, who previously managed Quenda at Sporting, is keen to reunite with the young talent. Quenda made headlines with a goal on his professional debut in August, becoming the club’s youngest ever scorer.
Amorim is a strong admirer of Quenda’s abilities, having overseen his rise to the first team at Sporting, and is eager to bring him to Old Trafford. He has reportedly urged United’s management to prioritize signing Quenda in the upcoming transfer window, making him one of the club’s top targets.
Real Madrid may shift their focus to Castello Lukeba if they fail to secure William Saliba from Arsenal this summer. According to The Mirror, while Saliba remains their top defensive target, Madrid acknowledges that prying him away from Arsenal could be a difficult, if not impossible, task. If their pursuit of Saliba falls through, Real Madrid could move for Lukeba, who is also sought after by Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Lukeba, a 22-year-old France international, signed a new contract with RB Leipzig in October that includes a release clause worth around £74.5 million, which becomes active on July 1. Despite the stiff competition for his signature, Leipzig is expected to hold firm on that price, as they are not under pressure to sell.
Southampton duo Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Aaron Ramsdale are reportedly being eyed for summer moves, even if the club is relegated from the Premier League. According to The Sun, Harwood-Bellis, a 23-year-old England international, is attracting interest from West Ham, who are looking to strengthen their defense. Having recently switched agents, the former Manchester City defender could be available for around £15 million.
Meanwhile, Ramsdale, the 26-year-old goalkeeper, is also expected to remain in the Premier League despite Southampton’s likely relegation. His former club, Bournemouth, is reportedly monitoring his situation. Ramsdale, who impressed during his time at both Bournemouth and Sheffield United, made a surprise move to Arsenal in 2021.
